These are the Vulcans that started Kawasaki into the cruiser market and they've served Team Green well. Cobra has served them equally well, providing first-rate--and first-to-market--systems for the middleweight Vulcans. We've still got a choice between Drag Pipes and our Classic Slashcut Exhaust. Cobra pioneered fast development with the Vulcans and continues to refine the process that gives you the best exhaust system you can buy.
With a stock exhaust, your new bike probably sounds more like an idling refrigerator than a powerful V-Twin. But a pair of shotgun pipes might set off every car alarm in the parking structure. Looking for a happy medium? Then check out our Classic Deluxe Exhaust. The 3-1/2 inch muffler bodies include a quiet baffle with additional silencing material. What you get is a deep, throaty, rumbling exhaust note that won't have the neighbors up in arms.
The state of California considers aftermarket exhaust systems to be legal replacement parts for non-catalyst equipped motorcycles and/or if slip-on mufflers are installed downstream of the OEM catalysts.
California does not allow the use of aftermarket systems that remove original equipment catalysts, (except for racing use only) unless the Air Resources Board has issued an Executive Order for that system.
For California riders we offer Air Resources Board approved Fi2000 R ARB units. (ARB E.O. No. D-633-1). All other Fi2000 models are not legal for street use in California.
